My First Post! (and I need some info on JHS!)

Hi Li Families!

My name is Kasey and this is my first post, but I have been a "lurker" all summer! I know you are all probably sick to death of all these Japanese Straightening Posts (I know there have been many) but I just had one question before I make my appointment, which I think I am finally ready to do. I know a lot of you had it done just as the summer was starting (which is probably the best time to do it with the heat and humidity...of course i waited for the fall!) but I was wondering how your hair is now, after a few months of having it grow back in. Are you still able to wash and go? Does it start to look funny at all? Just not suer how often you should do it before those darn curls catch up with you.

Thanks in advance to everyone. I am sure this will be the first of many posts for me!

Re: My First Post! (and I need some info on JHS!)

Depends on how curly your hair is. My hair comes in pretty wavy, and then becomes super curly at the ends. JHS works to "perfection" for the first 6 months for me, right around the 8/9th month, I have to start blow drying the roots straight, instead of wash and go as earlier.

If your roots grow in curly, that's what you'll have to work on as time progresses, otherwise, JHS is applied to everything from the root to the end.

I'm at month 2 and still able to wash it & go. Not having to blow dry my hair for 2 months has been a huge timesaver & I have guaranteed straight hair. Worth every cent!

Thanks for the info ladies! My hair is pretty wavy, but not super curly at all. I can't wait to just wash and go!
