My friend is in ICU - update 3/12 - he is gone....
I never ask for prayers, but if you could send some good thoughts and prayers to my friend, it would be greatly appreciated.
He has been in the hospital over a week with pneumonia and had gotten worse instead of better. He spent his 30th birthday in the hospital last week, they don't know why he isn't getting better... I am really worried.
I just found out he's in a medically induced coma. They are not allowing any visitors. I don't know what to do.
2nd update:
He is still in the coma. His condition really hasn't changed from a few days ago, except now he has a feve again from his allergy to the meds. He is still on a vent and they might have to give him a tracheostomy. I don't understand how this can be happening?
He is like my brother, his parents like my second parents. We have known each other since we were 3 years old, I am so scared that he is not going to make it. 
Update 3/11
Things continue to not look good. He contracted a secondary infection which they finally figured out is mrsa - he had it a few months ago and supposedly recovered. I guess he never completely got it out of his system, but he's been battling this secondary infection for a week and they just now figured out its MRSA, I don't understand why they wouldn't have tested for that sooner.
He's still on the vent, he still has the pneumonia in both lungs, and both lungs have collapsed.
I guess the good news is he's still alive. I just don't know how much more his body can take. Hopefully now that they know about the mrsa they can get the infections under control.
Please continue to send prayers.
update 3/12
My friend Josh died yesterday.... I can't believe it.. he just had his 30th birthday two weeks ago... I can't believe a few weeks ago he was fine and now he is dead.
His parents are like second parents to me, this is family... we grew up together, he was my first boyfriend when we were 3 years old.

Update 3/4 - he is responding to the meds now, they want to take him out of the coma soon. He is still critical, but stable for now.
