Hang in there - my cousin's wife runs a daycare center and she said that the first week is always the hardest - but they make friends and start having a lot of fun really soon.
Our nanny starts next week - I'm dreading it.

The first week was the hardest, but I can say almost 18 months later I have a child who enjoys the time she spends with her friends, barely says goodbye to me in the morning, sings the songs she learns, etc.
I still have tough days, but nowadays I feel a little guilty when I take off, keep her at home with me, and she misses a day because she enjoys it that much...
We just went to a b-day party for one of the girls in her "class" and she shouted out Bella's name when we walked in and came barrelling over, it was amazing.
I hope you all feel OK soon.

That would have uspet me too When Cailen began daycare he was so young he didnt know what was up, and now its so routine he knows the deal... you'll see, this will all become routine for him and he will just get that this is where he's supposed to be everyday...

The beginning is the absolute hardest because you are both making a huge adjustment. I hope the easier part comes soon for you.

My eyes got all watery reading this. I'm so sorry. Hopefully he gets used to it quickly. The faces are so new to him right now that maybe he just needs time getting used to new people.
Me too . I use my mom as child care, but I hear from so many moms it DOES get better.

Thanks everyone...I really appreciate it. In preparing for daycare I never thought it would be this hard. But I am hoping that if I stay positive that he will feel that and that with time he will be more comfortable. I just love him so much and hate that he's not happy right now. I wish I could be there for him.

Oh man...it is so hard. I got back to work in 2 weeks....I am so upset. I know people say it will get better for all of you, and I am sure if will...but it is so hard to even deal with right now...
