my impromptu doc. appt today
so, i've posted before about not feeling the baby as much as the doc said i should and yesterday i had coffee and peaches and sweets all day to get him to move - nada...he kicked for about 20 mins at night, that was it. today i woke up at 2:30, he kicked once and that was it. so i called the office they told me to go in this afternoon to see another doc (mine was backed up) and they hooked me up to the nst machine, she couldn't find the heartbeat at first so i started crying, after a few min she took out the doppler, used that and said it was more sensitive so we could figure out where baby was laying. we got a good reading and she positioned the nst device where the doppler showed hb rate...he kicked while on the machine and i felt much better. she said my placenta is infront of the baby and it cushions his movement. his axioms ? are that of a full term baby even though I'm at 28 wks 5days - she said he was showing off..fine with me :)
so now i feel better! ladies don't hesitate to call ur docs, i'm glad i called even though i felt bad to bother them, i now feel ok knowing that he's moving whether i feel him or not!
p.s. i passed my 1 hour glucose test!!

Re: my impromptu doc. appt today
I had the same problem withthe anterior placenta. It can be annoying. I had 3 biophysicals because of this, but finally my placenta moved.
Glad that you and baby are doing well!
