My In Laws have invented a new level stupidity!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My inlaws RARELY travel more then like 8 miles a day in the car.
They have a beat up old clunker of a car.
FIL drives MIL to & from her 3 hour a day job which is 2 miles away and then maybe a mile to & from the stores once or twice a day.
WHY ON EARTH DID THEY BUY A GPS System?

Im going to be bold and say "man thing". A GPS allows a man to keep his dignity and not have to ask for directions. In my experience, older women get nervous around new technology, but a man can always justify his "toys". Shoot DH wants a GPS and he is a commuter. He hardly ever drives at all. I do most of our weekend driving.

I could not have possibly been anymore  when I heard this last night from DH!! They have no $$ for everyday stuff, their house will be sold in the next 6-9 months because they can not afford to live there anymore & we don't want the house..........so they buy a GPS system?

do those GPS things actually WORK?
my FIL has one, and when we were in michigan this one time, it had us going around and around in a turn-around---
it was cracking me up that my FIL was actually listening to the lady voice telling him to do u-turns "make a left, then another left, and another... "
