My Kiddie Kandids disaster............
What a nightmare........
I went yesterday and put my name in - to waste the time I went to my moms house and came back at my scheduled time. They were running late - of course. Well, they ended up running OVER AN HOUR late and by the time they took us my kids were WAILING so they felt bad and assigned me a time for today.
Today I go back and they're thankfully running on time however my daughter after being in a great mood decides that she is going to have a major meltdown which in turn sets my son off. To top this whole thing off the photographer is AWFUL. I didn't get the whole jist of it but apparently she is in a snitch b/c they won't give her a raise and she is complaining to the customers  So after not getting any good pics - I had to tell her so she goes I'm going to the ladies room and doesn't come back. The other girl there asks me if she is done and I'm like "I have no idea".
So we look at the photos and one is worse than the next - even the girl who was showing them to me was like they arent good - do you want to come back? Are you kidding me??? This is my second day here, nooooooooooo way.
So now I have to come up with another gift for my husband's birthday, my mom's birthday and my FIL's b-day...........what a nightmare. I actually walked out of there in tears......

Lori, I am so sorry.... While it was good they wanted to be accomodating and get you back today, it plain su<ks they couldn't get a good pic. I have never gotten good pics there, don't feel bad. I'm sure you'll come up with something, we'll see what kind of pics we can take on Thursday!

I can't believe that a place I thought had the best staff has gone so downhill. There was a professional studio on Jericho called Zoot Shoot that does photos. I wasn't crazy about the grandkid pictures we got from them for my mom. It could've been just that it was Christmas & they were busy. My friend loves them and bring her four kids there all of the time.

Are you any good with a camera? What about taking the kids to the park and just trying for some good homemade shots? You could then get them blown up and framed. I got some pretty good shots of my husband with my daughter a few weekends ago at the park and the outside lighting is perfect! Also the outside shots that Barbara took of me back in November are amazing! Better then any studio shots I've seen.
You can even have them transfered onto canvas! And if you have a digital you can take TONS of shots and just see what you come up with!

Thanks everyone - I just wanted pics of my 2 together. I guess I just need to wait until Ava decides to sit for more than 2 seconds and Jack can sit up on his own.
Last time I was there for Ava;s birthday pics they came out fantastic - was just hoping for a repeat performance.
Part of it was the photographer - she was terrible. There is only one girl there who is great and unfortunately she wasn't working.

Sorry you had such a bad experience, I go to the one in Westbury and NEVER had a problem with the wait or the people that work their. I guess it made it harder for you since your kids were acting up, I would give it another try.

That is awful.
Can you get someone to come to the house and do pictures? I know its a little more expensive but it might be worth it for one good picture. You won't have to buy a lot unless you want to.

I have never had a good experience there. It is just too crazy, the photographers have no experience..I would call Sears or Picture People in the mall.

oh gosh, these stories are part of the reason I rarely go to these studios
most of the time the "photographer" is just an employee whose job happens to be taking pics 
Lori my sis had a bad experience at sears, they made her wait close to an hour also, after having an apppointment. she got her entire order free (and she orders TONS) plus copies of all pics she didnt choose..
although it was stressful, sometimes it cant hurt to complain... did she offer to take you tomorrow and have a FREE photo shoot ? 
i hate when there's no customer service/incentive in situations like this.
