I am so sorry for your loss  I know that words will be of little comfort, but I'm sure Oreo is at peace. You did everything you could for him. Please FM me if you need to talk. I just lost my cat last week, so I understand how much you must be hurting. Many  to you and your DH.

Oh no  I am so, so sorry for your loss. To lose a pet is so awful, and to lose one so young is even worse. I think you made the right decision, based on how things sounded.

Thank goodness Oreo had you as his parents.
Sounds like you and your husband tried your best to save him.

Im so sorry sweetie!!! Two years ago DH and I experienced the same thing with our little Bengal Leo- My mother actually noticed how he was walking (2 days before my wedding)- took him to the vet and although they cannot diagnose FIP the blood test that they took all pointed to that- Like you, we rushed him to the hospital had him in an incubator with oxygen for two days and the doctors told us he was suffering a lot and we had to make the decision to put him to sleep- hardest thing i ever had to do.
Three months later- DH and I decided to get another Bengal Kitten, because my cat was very lonely. Within a month of having him at home- FIP struck again (the odds are VERY low of that happening- the vet couldnt believe it) . Romeo had the wet version which is quicker- he passed away within a week. Leo had the dry version which takes longer.... So within 3 months I lost two kittens- it was such a hard summer for me....

DH and I decided to get a dog for my cat and it really worked out great- they love each other so much....
