My kitty went missing!
Last evening DH let the kitties out into our yard for fresh air. Usually it's only for about 15 mins or so supervised.
Well Bella came back when called. Izzy was mia.
I came home from work at 7:30pm. DH tells me Izzy won't come.
We went on an all out exhaustive search for 2 hours through the whole neighborhood with flashlights.
We were devastated thinking the worst.
Even though I asked DH if he was sure Izzy wasn't in the house and we both looked in all of the usual hiding spots, who shows up in the house...Izzy.
He was in the house the whole time.
We are both still shook up about it.
Now I think we need to chip them. I can't have another evening like last night.
It all ended well but my heart is still beating out of my chest about the whole thing.
He must have been spooked by something.

Ohh boy! Im glad Izzy is ok. These cats are sneaky. I bet he was watching you and your Dh run back and forth looking for him!

The little b@stard was hiding out in the house. We were calling him for two hours. The whole freakin neighborhood heard us..I'm sure he did too.
I picked him up by his little shoulders and squeezed the crap out of him.
Too bad he's so darn cute.

o geeze.. how scary! i'm so glad Izzy was home, safe and sound. And yes, he's too stinkin cute for tough love.. those eyes..

He's so much fluffier now that he is a full grown kitty. He's a Maine Coon mix and they get fluffier as they get to be full grown and mature which is about 2-3 years old. I guess that's in Maine Coon years.
Well anyway, he seems to know where hs home is and loves hugs. He ain't going anywhere.
I was thinking of chipping him but not sure it really is worth it since cats are harder to catch if strangers try to catch them. Dogs are different.
