My latest find -- Etsy RAVE!!! *Make-Up Update - PAGE 2*
Can I just gush about this necklace for a minute??
First of all, Etsy is amazing. And I found a great vendor who does these signature necklaces. I was looking online at them and talking to my boyfriend about them and I always say how I like his handwriting when he writes my cards -- So, I just had a birthday and in the card I again liked how he wrote my name. So, I was looking online and he said, you should get one of my handwriting from the card with your name.
It came out so great!!! I love it!!! I wanted to share because I think it's pretty and a unique idea. The artist also does memory jewelry if you had handwriting of a loved one who passed. You just have to send her a pic of it and she creates it based on the pic. So cool.

I totally took the tips from the article I posted yesterday about make up that ages you --- I went right out on my lunch yesterday and bought the dark purple eyeliner instead of the black... And yeah I totally think it works!!! Amazing!

Meanwhile the flack I get for being so pale is UNREAL. I mean, people are constantly making fun of me and berating me for being so fair!!
The make-up is interesting... I think it is all in the application -- first of all, I had no idea what I was doing when I started applying make up in college. I never wore it before then.
People at MAC were wonderful and I think it is finding the right product for your face AND the brushes --- brushes are everything. They are not cheap, I'll tell you that much, but they are worth it.
Right now I use a foundation that is liquid but it is in a tube and goes on like lotion - VERY VERY light and not cakey or anything. You really feel like you have nothing on. When I get home I'll update the name because I forget. It has an SPF in it. Works great.
I apply that with a special brush made for anything liquid. I also use a MAC primer before I put anything on. Then I just put a bit of the MAC studio fix powder perm press on over it -- nose, forehead, cheeks, chin. That's it. And that is with a powder brush.
The other thing that is key, in my opinion, is under eye concealer. I use MAC's as well with their brush -- I will post when I get home what they are.
I have posted before about the lash primer -- MAC's prep and prime is the only reason I have any eyelashes. That thing is magic in a tube.
And "Luna" -- which is a highlight compact -- you just put a little on your brow bone. Makes a difference!
I also wash my face with CeraVe twice a day - morning and before bed - recommended by my derm. I use their lotion as well. She also has me on an RX for Differin Gel for if I have a break out. I use that from time to time, mostly when I have my period LOL... and Klaron lotion, another RX, which I wear each night after I wash my face. That's a daily thing.
I used to have very severe acne as a teen - for about a little less than two years. It was horrible. Thank God for my derm because she cleared me up in no time -- I had been to other docs who did NOTHING for me. And she was a savior. Ten+ years later I still go to her. Dr. Donna Serure in Smithtown. The best. She saved me. I can't tell you what I would look like if it wasn't for her 
And lets be real -- the whitening, I had KOR whitening done by Dr. Mohr in Massapequa. He is the best best BEST. I also had almost two years of braces when I was fourteen -- Thank you Dr. Dobbs because I looked like Laura from Little House on the Prairie before braces -- big buck teeth, HORRIBLE.

I have it with me in my purse today...
I JUST bought it yesterday when I went on lunch to get that purple eyeliner they say makes you look younger than black eyeliner
I ran to MAC at Roosevelt Field -- in Bloomingdale's.
The lip color is a new thing they have -- It's like a gloss and a lip stain in one. It is "Mineralize Glass" and the color is "Wake Up".
It goes on like a gloss but stays on because it is actually a stain... and it feels like it has a moisturizing something or other IN it because my lips feel so healthy and moist when I wear it.
LOVE it -- I am so glad they came out with this line. I'm going to go again soon and get a sheer or a nude/shimmer one too.
Highly recommend!

Oh yes. All the brushes are MAC.
I started by investing in one or two that I needed... A wet brush and a dry one. Then a blush.
Then at the holidays they sell brushes in kits for say $45-$50 for a set of four vs. $45-$50 A PIECE. But they sell out quick so at Christmas time I stalk the store lolol.
