my new pup - a picture I wanted to share
I haven't had a dog in years, since I was younger. She is a golden retriever and has a very sweet disposition, so far. She is so big, though.
I really wanted to adopt a golden, and a puppy that we could all grow with and had been looking for quite some time.
I was researching adoptions from NY to PA, to NJ, to CT, etc, but I found that most adoptions were mixed mutt Goldens, goldens with health issues that would carry costly medications every month, or senior goldens who were ages 10+ and up. Being that I get attached quickly and have a child, I feared getting a dog and having it pass away soon and it being traumatic.
So, she came from a loving breeder's home.
I wish I could say I adopted, but I figure my adoption karma is good, as I have adopted previously.
She's been showered with love and attention all day long. 
I feel my family is officially complete. It was as if something were missing, and we found our missing link.

Thanks for asking! She's doing so well. I guess she was just nervous the first day.
Best news is that she is going outside to pee and poop 95% of the time and we've only had her a couple of days!
I hope she keeps it up. I'm sure she will, since she is showered with love and praise at any good behavior.

link - they are in NJ but met my DH at the border of NY/NJ. Very nice people. Their next litter is due in a few days.

They keep saying that puppys are so cute because when they poo in the house you look at how cute they are and cant kill them.
This is ONE cutie!!! Hope he dont poo too much in the house!!!!!
