My ped does not have the Thimerosol free Flu Shot
Is this normal? I finally decided to get him the shot (didn't do it last year - he is 19 months) and now they are telling me it is not thimerosol free? I assumed all peds would have the thimerosol free ones. I am glad I asked. Should I not do it? Argh.

My ped office only has the reg one for now too! I'm going to keep calling and hold off giving it to my DS until they get the preservative free one in.

TF vaccines are generally made in smaller batches and I can understand why a ped might not be stocked.
I would ask him to recommend a place where you can go to get the TF vaccine for your child since he does not have it.

My ped only stocks the TF version. I did hear that Walgreen flu clinic has the TF versions - you could try calling them and asking if they have it and if they administer it to children. I believe they work on both a walk in and by appointment daily during certain hours.
