my photographer died
and we dont even have our albums or video - nothing - we have to run to the office tomorrow and see what is done - the family is closing the business. 
i feel so bad mr stevens was such a cool guy
everything happens at once
but what else is new

But there is a contract no?
i would assume since it is a family business someone should be able to do something....
IF NOT you should get some money back!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I met with him, I got the impression that it's not really a family business in the sense of other people doing photography or albums. It seemed like Bart was the photog and other people in his family did other things for the business (besides photography)

hi ladies
mr stevens BART did it all - the family was just the go betweens - i am sure they have something worked out with someone to finish the stuff - but i am sure it wont be the same as if he did it himself.
i am just so sad for his family - he was a fantastic guy and an amazing photographer.
what just got to me was i fell down the stairs in my house - and i didnt know for 3 weeks that he died because i was in the hospital - so these poor folks are trying to call me and email me and i just wasnt around - i was only discharged a few days ago - i just feel so bad - i hope all the photos are done but i am sure it will work out - or at least i hope it will in the end - will know more tomorrow after my appointment with tracy so dont get overly excited - i am sure there is some kind of plan in place

OMG, he was originally our photographer but due to illness we ended up with Renaissance. That's so sad. He was a great guy. Prayers to the family  I hope e/t works out for you guys. But if I remember correctly didn't he have someone else doing the album layout for him?

i had a feeling he wasnt doing too well the last few times i talked with him - he was a bit disconnected but i never in a million years thought he would die.
the guy who does his art layouts and i werent getting along so mr stevens was working on ours himself. i hope i dont have to deal with that layout guy again  didnt even think about that
good grief

That's awful, I'd feel bad if I wasn't aorund for all that too.
Hope you are feeling better, I guessit was a pretty bad fall.
Don't worry abot t the albums, thye'll give you your negatives & any finshed prints-- it will all work out.

hi gals
well mrs stevens is giving me all the negatives and someone else will be finfishing the album - luckily mr stevens finished about 90% of it and it is awesome looking - i was so impressed when i saw it - she is also ordering the remaining prints from my package and i should have alot of it before christmas - well except for the album which will take a couple of weeks to print once i approve the additional work that is being done ( it is like 4 pages out of the 60 that arent done yet)
i am really happy so much of it was completed - it is just the perfect halloween album - i'll be sure to show you all when it gets here

I'm pretty sure the he passed most of his work on to Renaissance studio (in Smithtown?).
