My poor baby.....
I feel so bad, Julia has a very bad sore tail, shes been doing a lot of poops the past 2 days, she just went 5 times already and I dont know whats making her go so much. Her butt is soooo red and some spots bleed when I wipe her, I have been using a warm cloth to wipe her just to she wont be in so much pain from the wipes, but she screams when I change her and its braking my heart! I just want to see my baby happy again, and not freak out when I change her. Any ideas on what to use? I put A&D ointment on, and Balmex. I dont even know whats causing her to have this reaction, she eats really the same foods all the time. TIA!

Re: My poor baby.....
I would definately stop the wipes and just use warm water and a paper towel...
When Jacob had the stomach bug that is what the doctor suggested....
DO you have butt paste? It is much stronger than A&d and Balmex...
Hope she feels better!!!

Re: My poor baby.....
Teething can do it! If it doesn't seem to get better, try Triple Paste ointment. It's sold in places like CVS and it usually works in one treatment!
I hope she is feeling better soon!

Re: My poor baby.....
Diaper off melissa, this ill help it dry out, sahe just had a bad rash not that long ago didn't she? She mst be eatign something that is not setting well in her stomach, start writing down the foods that she eats and you may be able to put a correlation to the food and increased bowel movements. Feel better Julia (and Mommy)

Re: My poor baby.....
I second the butt paste and I also use Mustela .
(a&d) is good for prevention but you need something thicker for a rash.
And if possible let her booty air out so it could heal.

Yeah she did not to long ago and I thought it was from the boca burgers I was giving her and I stopped, and she didnt have anymore poop problems. She is on whole organic milk now and I was wondering if that can make her go more or if to much soy can do it? I give her a lot of the meatless chicken nuggets. I'm going to have to write down what she eats, thats a good idea, thanks!

do you think she could be lactose intolerant? Maybe try to stop milk for a few days and give her only soy milk, yogurt, cheese.

Aww I'm sorry your poor baby is in pain I agree with the prior post..don't use any more wipes - only water and paper towels so it doesnt sting...and change her a lot because even pee is going to burn if it touches the parts of her butt that are bleeding.

That maybe it, I have been giving her a lot of cheese lately, and my DH is lactose intolerant. I will stop with the cheese. Is soy milk better for her instead of the organic?, I will buy anything that will help her, I feel so bad! I think it maybe the meatless chicken nuggets I stopped giving them to her, but started again 2 days ago, I think that maybe it too, I'm throwing them out as well. I'm so worried now on what to feed her, I dont want this to happen again.

Re: My poor baby.....
Not to hijack the thread but.....how do you go diaperless. Where do you put the baby to prevent a terrible mess? It seems to make a lot od sense though.

I use to pull up any rugs and literally sit on the floor and crawl around with them for an hr or 2, it really makes a difference, as soon as they peed, I would clean it up immediately, andif poop was coming, we went right on the potty . We had a few diaper rashes at around 16-18 months and my doc swears it ios the reason why my kids trained quicker, they were siaperless and I would throw them on the potty as soon as I saw the "strain" look on their faces. Both my daughters were trained by 2!

Re: My poor baby.....
Hmmm, I know the meatless foods like BOCAs and the nuggets often have a lot of spices to add taste, as well as veggies that could be upsetting her stomach.
Hope she feels 100% real soon.

Re: My poor baby.....
Definitely butt paste. And our pediatrician said cloth diapers because they breathe better than the disposables. And make sure the butt is dry before the butt paste goes on.

Re: My poor baby.....
I used a mixture of mylanta and original desitin. It worked like a champ. I put it on at night and by the next morning, no more diaper rash.

Re: My poor baby.....
Triple paste works or even the concoction of it...vagisil, hydrocortisone and desitin (mixed together). The concoction always took away rashes immediately.

How's her tushy now?
Maddie used to get severe rashes too. The wipes had her screaming in pain. Definitely opt for the papertowels & water. Desitin or Balmex always worked in a few days.

Re: My poor baby.....
I got Julia the Triple Paste, and its working good, its still red but not as bad as it was. That paste is ! I will have to watch what she is eating now and not give her so much of a selection.
Thanks for all the hugs and help girls!!

Re: My poor baby.....
I am so sorry that she isn't feeling well. Poor little girl...
When Emily used to get bad rashes on her bottom (she would get the mto the point that she'd bleed and we went to the dr for it a few times) I would keep her diaper off with a waterproof pad under her and fan her with a new, clean diaper. I'd just fan her bootie for a few minutes and as silly as it sounds, I think the air on it helped a lot.
