MY SON IS REFUSING TO EAT!! HELP

HE IS JUST ABOUT 2.5 AND HE WAS ALWAYS ALIGHT EATER BUT THIS IS CRAZY NOW. i STARTED GIVING HIM PEDIA-SURE AND HE WOULD DRINK THAT AND NOW HAS STOPPED. MAYBE TAKE A SIP AND THAT'S IT. i HAVE TRIED A MILLION THINGS FOR BREAKFAST AND I THINK HE LIKES SOMETHING AND HE TAKES A BITE OR TWO AND IS DONE. I GIVE HIM PASTA FOR DINNER WHICH HE LOVED AND HE TAKES A FEW BITES OR SOMETIMES REFUSES EVEN A BiTE. I WILL GIVE HIM FRUIT WITH IT AND HE WILL EAT THAT BUT THAT'S IT. I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH MY DD IN FACT I HAVE THE OPPOSITE PROBLEM SHE WATS TO EAT ALL THE TIME. WHAT CAN I DO?

Re: MY SON IS REFUSING TO EAT!! HELP

My DD is like this and it is so frustrating. She is also below the 5th percentile for weight. Everyone always says she will eat when she is hungry but it just isn't completely true for her. She will get hungry at three am and I have to feed her to get back to sleep. I keep trying new things. Here are a few strategies that seem to work:

1. Offer two or three choices and let her pick.
2. Make a snack plate with a few items she likes to eat. DD likes variety so for example breakfast I might make two frozen mini pancakes, a handful of fruit and a few spoon fulls of my yogurt to dip it in.
3. Give something to dip in the every meal.
4. Add words like cake and ice cream to names of her food. I'll throw her yogurt in the freezer and call it ice cream.
5. As a last resort bribery and games. Yesterday I got her to eat by offering the Annie's organic bunnies as a treat and playing a game with them. For each chicken nugget she ate, she got a bunny. I had the bunnies dance, sing and hop while she ate her veggies.
6. She loves frozen things like ice cream and ice pops. I just got an ice cream maker and plan to make her special homemade ice cream/sorbet with fruits and veggies in it. I found a few recipes online that have spinach, carrots, egg powder ect and will get creative.

My parents say I was the same way as a kid. My ped even had me put in the hospital for testing to make sure everything was ok.

Good luck!
