My son taught me a valuable lesson- A Kelly Story

He has taught me to enjoy life and look at everything as if it's brand new. We have had a tough few days with him and the seizures that I wanted to live life to the fullest.

He has begun to enjoy eating snowflakes. Something I enjoy watching him do, but never participated. I hate snow. I loathe snow.

But today I stuck my tongue out. I felt the tiny cold flakes touch my tongue. They are so delicate. I closed my eyes and just giggled. I began gobbling up snowflakes and enjoying the moment.

I opened my eyes and people were just staring at me. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Well, DS was home with DH. I was in the middle of the Walmart parking lot ALONE when this idea came to me. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

But you know what? I enjoyed the moment. I felt at peace.

I suggest you take the time to let a snowflake touch your tongue. It may just touch your soul too.

Kelly, for the first time ever (I think) instead of laughing at one of your stories, it brought tears to my eyes (in a good way). I'm glad you enjoyed your moment and for those people looking at you funny at WalMart - it is surely their loss that they didn't take the time to taste the snowflakes!

That is really awesome!
I agree everyone should learn to take a step back and enjoy life. All drama can wait... Given another day most things correct themselves. Glad you learned some positive things from a bad experience. Enjoy your son!
