My Twins Arrived and Michelle McFadden Rave
My twins arrived on February 28th at 33 weeks and 3 days. I woke up at 5 am to my water breaking. I was already on strict bedrest and had spent 3 days in labor and delivery at 29 weeks for a shortened cervix. My Ob was away and I have quite the birth story because of it, but I’ll save that for some other post. Long story short, Miranda Brynn was born via c-section at 5:28 pm at 4 lbs. 7 oz and Jeremy James was born at 5:29 pm at 4lbs 13 oz. I’ll spare everyone my NICU details, but please FM if you have any questions. Both were healthy except for RDS(respiratory distress syndrome) and some typical preemie issues. Miranda came home on March 17th and Jeremy came home April 2nd. The entire NICU experience was traumatizing and just really difficult for my DH and I, but we are beyond thrilled to have them home. We are in love with our perfect little ones. After 4 IVF cycles, we have our little miracles. We feel lucky every day.
We had our not quite newborn photos taken yesterday and Michelle McFadden was absolutely wonderful. We were a little nervous because our babies were already 6 ½ weeks old, but it went great. Michelle was beyond patient and was at our house for almost 6 hours. I’ve been in love with the idea of newborn photos for quite some time, and when I look at these pictures I am in disbelief that they are mine!
It’s somewhat fitting that I post this today because it is my actual due date and I’ve been a Mommy for almost 7 weeks. I am beyond in love with my growing, changing, and perfect little boy and girl. They both amaze us every day and I can’t believe they are mine!

that pic with the dogs is just the cutest! they are adorable, congratulations   i'm happy they are home with you now, and healthy - i can only imagine what a rough experience that must have been.
