My Vegas Review!
We got home last night & I am exhausted from the week! The dry weather was NOT kind to my sinuses & I am glad I took today off from work!
Where we stayed & what we did:
Treasure Island The location was great because it was smack in the middle of everything & we walked most times to the shows we went too!! I liked that the casino was big but not huge as compared to like Caesars Palace (I got lost there for a while ) and the dealers were nice! The buffet was OK....nothing spectacular IMO. The Coffee Shop (24 hours which was good!) pretty good!
We got in Monday at 12:30 Vegas time. We got lunch, wandered around the casino for a bit, then decided I needed a nap!! So around 5:30 I went upstairs & never woke up till 7AM the next day!!
Anyway, Tuesday & Wednesday during the day, we just hung around, checked out a bunch of the casinos, played some slots & DH played a little blackjack.
Emerils Delmonico Steakhouse We ate here Tuesday night!! By far the most amazing dinner we ever had!! $$$$$$$, but well worth every penny!
Top of the World at Stratosphere BEST view of Vegas!!! We ate the restaurant, and while it was good, it was not great for $$$$$$$ we spent But the view was well worth every penney we spent to eat & watch the world go round in 1 hour 20 minutes!!!!
Elton John's Red Piano SO AMAZING!! He plays at Caesars when Celine is off, and I am SO GLAD it happened to be when we were there!! It was a completely over the top, Vegas style / Elton John style show!!!! He sounded awesome & I would LOVE to see him again some day there!
Love There are so many Cirque du Soleil shows to choose from, but I am so happy this was the one we picked!! It's all set to Beatles music, and what is cool is that it was all the songs you know and love as a Beatles fan, but slightly different cuts of the songs then you are used to hearing!! Just an amazing sight to see & the bonus was the great music!!
Scenic Airlines Grand Canyon Tour SO glad we did the plane ride as the view is not even something you can describe!!!! They picked us at 6am at he hotel, took us to a central location about 15 minutes away where we boarded big tour buses. They took us about a 1/2 hour out to a little airport, where we were divided into groups. We got on this little 14 passenger plane (I was pretty nervous at first!!), but it turned out to be not so bad because you don't go as high up as regular plane. We flew over the Hoover Dam & Lake Mead & the Mojave Desert. We landed at the Grand Canyon and they took us out to the Sky Walk which was AMAZING. There is no way to describe what it felt like to walk on something clear 70 feet out over the Grand Canyon!! Then they give you a BBQ lunch & fly you back!
Tour we took
NHRA Races For those girls whose DH's are into NHRA (or NASCAR for that matter), this track is awesome!! The Drag Strip is next door the NASCAR track. We went this particlau week because NHRA is the only sport DH likes!!! The track is the nicest one we have been too, very modern & clean, but it was SO FREAKIN hot until about 1:30 when the sun moved & we got the shade!!!!
Can't think of anythng else for now, but we had a great time! The one thing I will say, was I think 7 days was too long for us. 5 would have been enough.
