My Wine update..MORE suggestions wanted....
Ok...sO after last weeks thread, I went and bought Luna de luna Pinot Grigio / chardonnay mix and it was pretty good....I will buy it again, but better cold and just a "little bit" too "sour" for me.....
and I tried Yellow Tail shiraz....much too "red" for me. Again cold I can drink it, but with like a meat dinner maybe.
Any other suggestions, something a little more fruity, just a little , besides White Zin??
Or another brand?

Try a Riesling. I like Chateau Ste. Michelle. It's very fruity and sweet.

OMG...their Semi dri Riesling is my absolute FAVORITE!! It's sweet and fruity, goes down smooth, and I think it's like $6 or 7 bucks for the bottle

You could try a Beaujolais. It is a light fruity red. A little sweet, but not crazy sweet.

I just had Gewürztraminer from Lenz Winery. It is a bit sweeter and really yummy!
A gewürztraminer with a beautiful balance between fruit and spice. Loads of rose-petal notes and traditional lychee flavors. Absolutely delicious.

i alwasy felt that the Gewurztraminers in a majority of the wineries i have been to are VERY sweet. Almost like the Ice wines

Chardonnay's are not sweet, they are very dry and oakey. I don't really care for white wine, but for SWEET I would second the Gewurtraminer or a desert wine. I know my friend loves that Pindar winter white- too sweet for me.

I'll 3rd the gewurztraminer! and if you like the white zin then you should also like that pindar winter white. I don't care for the sweet wine but i do think that winter white is pretty nice

Re: My Wine update..MORE suggestions wanted....
Looked for UNOAKED Chardonnay ... there are a lot of them out there now, DH's fave is a South African one we had at WDW but can't find in stores (he ordered cases! online). Anyway, he has NEVER been a wine drinker and really doesn't like any oakiness but the two I posted earlier are his current favorites. He won't drink reds at all.
We also really like the Coppola Chardonnay. Maybe also look into Pinot Noir for reds - they always seem "light" to me.

Re: My Wine update..MORE suggestions wanted....
I'm not a fan of Chardonay- -I didn't know they had " Unoaked" ones. Chardonay can be "heavy" to me.
For whites, Sauvignon Blanc is very light & refreshing.
For reds, I like the dry, heavy ones, like chianti & merlot, but cabernet is a litle too fruity for me, you may like it. I also agree, beaujolais is a good choice.
I am not a fan of the mixed wines.

Unoaked wines are made in stainless steel

I usually don't like chardonnay at all because they are strong and dry. For some reason Yellowtail just goes down really nice to me. I am not sure how to explain the taste though. I am a very picky wine drinker because most of them are too strong, dry or bitter to me.

Interesting. I though chardonay had to be aged in oak, to be considered a chardonay, but I guess not, as long as it uses the same grapes.
