I have never been to riverhead but I thought the one at mystic was so overrated. It was so small, I didnt like it at all. BUt this was before Megan was born and just dh and I went..with a baby I guess it would be fun!

not on your list, but I like Norwalk Aquarium. If you are going to drive to Mystic, Norwalk is WAY closer!

Same here.
But then again, I don't like fish AT ALL and was only going to please DH.
I spent the whole time being panicked that there was going to be a whale or the glass was going to break.

I think they are both pretty small, but the Mystic one is a little bigger. I love going to the one in Brooklyn, but probably b/c my grandmother used to take us when we were kids.
I'll have to check out the one in Norwalk.

Mystic is definitly better... Alot more to do and see...... Riverhead is good fro smaller kids because it's smaller.......

Never been to the Mystic Aquarium. The Riverhead is beautiful (much better when it's warm out IMO), but obnoxiously overpriced for admission and food. I LOVE the Coney Island Aquarium, but again, it's more fun when it's warm out.

Riverhead is better because it's only a 30 minute drive, whereas Mystic is a ferry-ride away....
