Naive Question
I was talking to my SIL today about not getting my period yet after my DS was born in August(I know it takes time)....But,If I dont have my period, then I am not ovulating right?? So, how can women get pregnant right after giving birth and not getting their period first??? Dont you get your period after ovulating since the egg was not fertilized? Is this really possible?? Please explain!! edited to clarify question more....

Re: Naive Question
It depends on each woman. Some get their cycle back soon after delivering. Some do not. It also depends if you are BFing or not.

Re: Naive Question
some women will get pregnant after they DO ovulate and then they would never get their period, because they are pregnant. So they get PG after the first time they ovulate. ( which occurs before the first period)

Thanks! I guess I just had it backwards in my head....you are right...you ovulate, then get your period.
