I will not let the baby into my bed. Too many of my friends made that mistake - I don't want that to happen to us!

hahahah good one! our lease was up and I loved our altima and laughed when ppl said I NEEDED an suv for a baby...I was like I think our car will be fine for 1! My parents had a tiny 2 door little car w/ me! lol

there's sooo many things...my top are:
I won't yell/treat my kid like my mom treated me (my mom is infamous for it)
I won't neglect my dog.

I tend to be rigid with certain things and will TRY TRY TRY to let it go or I know I will be miserable.
I will try to have patience with my DH when he is trying to help but just annoying me. This goes for people who keep giving advice without being asked...I will be patient with you!! arg!!
I will try not to freak out about my body...and have faith that I will be marathon ready by October '11.
I will try not to judge myself about everything I do and everything I feel.
I will not worry that my baby will be allergic to my Chloe...I will not worry and have faith it will all be fine...it has to be fine

I will not give up on BFing. I know it's hard.
I will not use disposable diapers. I will stick to my cloth commitment!
I will not let my house go to hell just because I have a newborn.
I will get my pre pregnancy body back!!! (OK maybe not the boobs)

There are so many of these to name but I will definitely NOT:
1) Ignore my dog  I love him and his is our "first baby"
2) Become a SAHM who sits on the couch all day watching re-runs of Law and Order (although I do love that show  )
3) (and please do flame, it's just a personal thing...) let my baby have a pacifier past about 18 months (it drives me nuts when I see a 3/4 y/o with a pacifier!!  JMO

I don't know ANY SAHM who has the time to do this! My first opportunity to even sit and turn the TV on is usually after DD is in bed, DH and I have eaten dinner and the kitchen is cleaned up. So, usually about 8 or 9 at night.
As I already have a DC who is still young (18 months), I vow that I will NOT rule ANYTHING OUT that I may have in the past said I will never do....
you know what they say about the best laid plans?
It's easy to say what you will not do, but sometimes when push comes to shove and you are desparate for even an HOUR of sleep, or a 3 minute shower, you will find yourself compromising on those little things you said you would never do.

I just want to stay sane  I have a whole list of things that I do and do not want to do. I will try not to berate myself if I let one or two or ten of them slip - although I will try to keep slips to a minimum

My big thing was not bringing DC#1 into our bed. He went into his crib from day one. I am happy to say we stuck to it and have had no sleep problems at all in 2 years.
With the twins I am doing the same (no bed) but they are currently sleeping in a bassinet in our room since we are moving in 2 weeks and don't have their room set up. Once we move into their cribs they will go!

OMG my mom would LOVE you! lol she keeps begging me to cloth diaper b/c she cloth diapered my brother... i just dont have it in me to do that so more power to ya!!

my new ones for this baby:
Put them down sleepy but awake, so they learn to put themselves to sleep in their own crib. I never did this the first time & regret it big time.
get them used to their crib a lot sooner. I waited too long with our first child and had a horrible transition.
Still keep my dog in the mix & get him to the dog park atleast once a week.

I will NOT smoke again. I have not had a single craving for one the entire pregnancy & I hope it remains that way.
This is a big one for me too... I quit the day I found out I was pregnant, DH decided he wanted to quit too so he quit the next day... I'm terrified I will start again!!!
One congrats to both of you on quitting! That's really powerful! And since you had your LO for motivation first just keep using that. . thinking about 2nd hand smoke and setting an example (and I'm so not preaching - I did smoke years ago and quit so am BTDT)

I will not NOT get back into shape
I will not take it out on DH if I am tired and exhausted
I will not forget that I am not the ONLY one who has done this and think I deserve some super medal (though of course we all DO)
and this will come later
but I WILL NOT EAT LEFTOVERS OFF MY CHILDS PLATE .. . this is supposed to be the #1 reason women with kids gain weight. . picking off kid's plates!!
and I will never ever shake a baby!
(okay that was a joke I'm not really worried about shaking my baby!)

2.) Try not to curse or get upset in front of the baby
3.) Don't let other people's opinions and comments about how to take care of my baby get to me

My Mom is a total hippie & MIL is from a poor country where thats all they can afford. They really encouraged us.

I will not:
Keep on neglecting my pup....I have been pretty bad with neglecting him lately and I think he's getting depressed. He's so great with DS too that I want to show him more how much we love him.
Let myself have a "mom body"...according to DH  it's so hard with 2 kids to "get your body back".......oh STFU!!!!!!!
Oh, and I won't curse as much 
Go back to smoking....I REALLY hope I can do this.....
