Nanny or Stay at Home Mom looking for FT work
We are looking into Day Care in Wantagh for our DD but are also open to the idea of a Nanny or a SAHM looking to make extra money.
We need someone Monday-Thursday 7am-6pm and Friday 7am-4:30pm.
Any advice on how to find a nanny or any moms out there looking to work those hours?

We found ours at Care.com and she is so wonderful! It took about 2 months, a ton of phone interviews and 5 actual I person interviews. It has been so much better for us than daycare, I can finish getting ready for work while she's with the kids, they are hardly sick, they nap in their own room and she makes them breakfast and lunch. We
Pay her $12 for 2 kids 7 hours per day. I had my DD in daycare when she was an infant and it sucked.
ETA: you can also check Facebook moms pages, especially the ones for your town and neighboring towns.

Question about care.com -- do you have to pay who you hire through them? Or is it just a means to connect with people?

It's just away to connect with people. You pay and deal with the nanny directly.

Our longest standing nanny we hired from CL(with background check) She was a young girl who recently moved from TX and was a great asset to our family. She moved away and we used a family friend and someone from sittercity since then. All worked out fine. My co-worker also found a nanny on care.com when her daughter was 8 months and she is still there 2 years later and they are very happy

Nanny or Stay at Home Mom looking for FT work
We found our nanny on Care.com last August and she is amazing. We also did a lot of email and phone interviews checking references before we did 4 face to face interviews and I knew before I hired them who I wanted. She has worked out so well. Care.com made finding her so much easier. Good Luck.
