Nantucket Gray

Does anyone have this color for any of their rooms?

I like it for the living room-which opens right up to the hallway/stairs-which I've chosen Hawthorne Yellow for.
Is it dark? How green/gray does it look? I love the swatch!
Also, its the first room you see when you walk in the door.

We have the same taste in paint, lol! I have both of those colors in my house -- Hawthorne Yellow is my den/family room, and I have Nantucket Grey in our spare bedroom/home office.

I think Nantucket Grey looks different depending on the light. In my house, it's in a rather small room with two smaller windows, and "reads" on the darker side (compared to most of my other paint choices). It's not a bold color, but it's rich. In my house, it looks more green (like a khaki or olive green) with grey undertones (rather than a grey with a greenish cast).

My friend used Nantucket Grey in her family room which gets a bit more light, and the color doesn't look as dark as it looks in my house. But I still think it looks more green than grey. Despite the name, I wouldn't consider it a grey, really.

I love that color - we have it in my kitchen. agreed you cant go by the name really because there isn't really a grey in there I only see a green.

We have Hawthorne Yellow in our Living Room /Dining Room area which opens up to entry way/hallway (Manchester Tan) and Kitchen (Saybrook Sage). We also have a huge den (Bleeker Beige) that you can see from the Living Room. It was hard to figure out what colors would look good together. I'm pretty happy with the ones we choose. Yellow was the hardest color because some yellows would look greenish, others too pale, like it should be in a nursery....

ETA: Hawthorne Yellow is not pale.. It's very pigmented and bright/ rich color....

Actually, I realized my den is Weston Flax, not Hawthorne Yellow (but I think it's on the same strip, maybe a shade lighter). Weston Flax is a pale, creamy yellow, but does not read at all "baby yellow" for a nursery. I did not want an orange toned or "eggy" yellow. My den has a natural stone fireplace that has a lot of grey stones (but has cream colored shades in the stone work, too), so I wanted a subtle yellow to pick up the cream-colors in the stonework. And then I have chocolate brown furniture and dark wood in that room, which gets a lot of natural light. But even the lighter Weston Flax still reads as a true yellow.

I have a split, so my den is a few steps down from the main level, which is Barely Beige (I think... or Shaker Beige) in the foyer, Par Four (light greyish green) in living room/dining room, and a blue/green (can't recall paint name) in the kitchen, and I think all of the colors, while different, coordinate well together.
