nap help for 7 month old
we have always had a napping problem. meaning, practically non existent. DS just had a 30 minute crying episode bc he is tired and won't go to sleep. I finally got him down and now he is sleeping in my bed, grrrrrrrr! Of course I know it is not safe so I have been checking on him every 5 minutes!
Any suggestions on making nap time easier? does anyone else have this problem? TIA

When my dd was that age, her naps were in her swing. She didnt go to crib for naps until she outgrew the swing... it all worked out.
I think the hardest habit to break will be the one your dealing with.. them sleeping in your bed. Its a very secure place with them, your sent is all over it. Have you tried rocking him to bed in your arms then putting down in crib?

ditto! we put him in the papasan. Mercifully, he hasn't outgrown it yet....
it is especially useful if he wakes up way too early (say 530am) and has difficulty falling back asleep yet is tired....

this is actually the first time I put him in my bed bc I didn't know what else to do, I rock him till he falls asleep, but he is like one of those dolls, when you put him down his eyes pop open then once he realizes we had the nerve to put him down he cries again, I tried his swing, crib and pack and play sheesh!!

We had this problem and the only thing that solved it was CIO. Don't know if that's something you're interesting in doing though.

Re: nap help for 7 month old
What about naps in a comfy carriage/stroller, buckled in, so he can be rocked to sleep? Even moved around if you move to another room? That's what I do sometimes and it works great.
