Re: Napa Valley

We are going in two weeks.

We are staying at the Vino Bello Resort.

Couldnt tell you yet what we are going to do for sure there ie: which wineries we are going to go to.

Someone on here just got back, i'm waiting for the review

and, I'll give a review when DH and I return.

When are you planning on going?

Re: Napa Valley

I hear this resort is beautiful, I'll let you know.

It can get pricey- with purchasing of the wine. But visiting the wineries themselves is not costly at all.

we are flying into san francisco, staying over night and spending an additional 4 days in Napa.

Re: Napa Valley

you should eat at the culinary institute there. I want to say it's CIA, but I think that's the one in NY.

My favorite vineyard was Moet Chandon.

And if you want to splurge of course, French Laundry.

Re: Napa Valley

DH and I visited Napa this summer. If you're a novice to winneries, I rec. Robert Mondavi (very beginer friendly). Pegu winery is great. Their wines are awesome and they aren't available around here. We did a hot air balloon ride, which offered a great view of the valley....Sounds silly, but on the main road b/w Rutherford and St. Helena you'll find "Taylor's Refresher". It's a little roadside burger stand that has lines longer than some of the restaurants. By far the most incredible burger I've ever had.

OMG we ate there too and thought the same thing!! We were like these burgers are out of this world!

As far as wineries, make sure to go to Sawyer. You need an appointment but it has the BEST wine!! Plan on doing a picnic in one of the vineyards, that was a lot of fun.
