Re: Napa Valley Hotels

We stayed at the Napa Marriott, it was very nice. We booked it through Priceline so we stayed for 1/2 price!

My favorite vineyards were Silver Oak and Stags Leap. We just did tastings there because they are smaller vineyards. Their wines are amazing though.

I'll get back to you if I hear from him!!!

Re: Napa Valley Hotels

We stayed at The 1801 First which is in Napa and LOVED it. It's a B&B, but very upscale with gourmet breakfasts and evening wine & cheese. The bed was soooo comfy and there was a huge tub in the room. I highly reccomend this place, I think it's highly rated on tripadvisor.com too.

Oh and when you are there, make an appointment to go to Sawyer Vineyards. They had the BEST wine we tasted when we were out there (we joined the wine club we liked it so much!)

Have fun! If you need any other advice let me know. We went there on our HM and loved it.

Take the balloon ride. And my favorite vineyard was Schramsberg Vineyards. Also loved the tapas bar IN Napa for dinner...

Don't stay at the John Muir Inn Chat Icon . It was just like a Best Western -- find a quaint B&B.

Re: Napa Valley Hotels

anyone hear anything about the new vino bello resort?

I think it is next to the Meritage resort?

We are thinking of staying there.

Re: Napa Valley Hotels

Hey not to hijack - but I'm also looking for the same information - we're going in September and I'd like to stay a night or two.
Seems kind of overwhelming!

We stayed at this inn and LOVED IT. It was so nice and cozy and amazing. Expensive though.

When you do the winery's stop off at the deli (can't remember the name) at the beginning of the road and get some cheese and sandwhiches. A lot of the places we went to let you eat.

I would advise against doing Hess Winery since the road up there is soooo scary and it takes awhile.

Re: Napa Valley Hotels

i think we are going to book the vino bello resort.

i spoke with them yesterday and they are wonderful.

expedia is giving a special booking rate because it is a brand new hotel (less than a year old) Located in the same location as the meritage resort.

It has an underground spa!

The 1 bedroom suites look amazing.

i cant wait!

We are going to do one night in san fran- in a cheap hotel
and then 3 nights in napa
