Naps and which one they lose 1st?
So DD is 10 months and has been taking 3 naps a day consistently.
For the past 3 days she's been off with her 1st nap which usually happens 2 hours after she wakes. She hasn't been taking it.
Is this the 1st one to go?
When did your DC start losing naps and which one went 1st?

Re: Naps and which one they lose 1st?
My DD only took 2 naps a day for an 1-1.5 hour each.
She dropped her morning nap around 13 months and now takes longer afternoon naps (2 hours).

Re: Naps and which one they lose 1st?
My ds was taking 4. The first to go was the last one (a cat nap that was from 6-7)
And now i think the next that is going is the noon nap
So he is napping 2 hours after he gets up at 9, then 2ish

Re: Naps and which one they lose 1st?
According to Healthy Sleep Habits most children who take 3 naps a day start to lose a nap by around 9-10 months old. BUT, they state it should be the late afternoon one. To try to preserve the morning nap, perhaps put her down a little earlier tonight, and try to discourage the late afternoon nap.

Lucas only takes (took) two naps - one in the morning and one at night. Last weekend seems to have been the start of the afternoon one going away. We barely get 20 minutes (opposed to the hour before).

Re: Naps and which one they lose 1st?
at that age I think she was just taking 2 naps/day...
But when she switched to one she dropped the afternoon nap and then the morning one just got later...

Re: Naps and which one they lose 1st?
Our first one to go was that early morning nap. He would hold off another hour or so and then take one morning nap and then one in the afternoon. Now we're on one nap (occasionally 2) and it's usually either ight before lunch (we'll eat around 1:00ish) or right after lunch (we'll eat earlier around noon.)

Jeez...Logan hasn't had three naps since he was a newborn.
And at 11 months he's already only taking one.
He never wants to sleep.
