As much as I don't believe it, the scale doesn't lie. i guess big boobs and a J-Lo hiney accounts for some of the weight, I'd gladly give them both up

Re: How much do you want to lose ...
Love this thread!
But having met Heather (missus-hbradio) I am here to say that if you lost 100 pounds, you would be worse than Nicole Ritchie or an Olsen twin!! There is NO WAY you need to lose nearly that much

Re: How much do you want to lose ...
Oh duh, while I'm here I will answer
I've already lost 36.5 pounds since September so not taking that into account, here are my final goals:
to be pleased? a couple more pounds to be satisfied? 10 pounds to be thrilled? 20 pounds to be beyond thrilled? 30 pounds (but in this lifetime that never ever will happen - I don't think I've been that weight since grammar school )

60-70 is the goal
But will that goal make you just satisfied or absolutely thrilled? We talked about this at WW yesterday ... some people's satisfied and thrilled goals were very close ... some were far apart (for me, mine are very far apart in my head).
Maybe you just have one goal? I had to break mine up into more managable goals. If I lose the first 20, 25 .. I will be satisfied with myself ... and so on.
Of course my goals will change as I lose more weight but I thought this was a great start. Many times people say "I want to lose X amount." but don't think about in how many weeks, how many months.
This is not just for you Capt'n, I'm just talking outloud now in general.

Thanks Lisa! I appreciate it!! I will say that it was hard at first but now its really easy.. and it helped that DH and I did it together!
I had put on so much weight after the wedding, it was sickening. Only now am I back within a few pounds of my wedding day weight .. and I wasn't even at my 'ideal' weight then!!
Everyone, keep up the great work!!

I keep saying that I want to be at my pre-engagement weight because after I got engaged I gained weight, a few months before the wedding I gained more, then after the wedding I seriously blew up. I look at pictures and keep saying "I know I'm underneath there somewhere, it's like someone swallowed me"
I'm glad you succeeded, you're a great role model for the rest of us
