Dale Earnhardt Jr. has scheduled a major announcement for Thursday morning at JR Motorsports, the race team he owns and his sister, Kelley Earnhardt Elledge, runs in Mooresville, N.C.

Earnhardt Jr. is currently embroiled in contract negotiations with Dale Earnhardt Inc., the company founded by his late father and stepmother, Teresa Earnhardt. That the popular driver's announcement is scheduled at his race shop - and not DEI's - suggests there has been a development in those protracted talks.

If it is true he is going to race for JRMotorsports, he plans on bringing his BFF Martin Truex, Jr. with him. I just heard this on Sirius!
