Nashville - What not to miss and how long to go
I have wanted to visit Nashville. How long is a good amount to go? I was trying to decide between three or four nights. What should we not miss? Where exactly do you stay? Flights seem more than I thought considering it isn't terribly far from NY, closer than Fla.

Re: Nashville - What not to miss and how long to go
I just went in October. We stayed 3 nights. I think 4 would have been better, maybe even 5. I didn't anticipate how spread out things were. We stayed at an Airbnb on 2nd Avenue which was walking distance to Broadway and all the bars. Loved it. Broadway is super fun. Lots of bar hopping. WE did the Grand Ole Opry which is great too. I wanted to do this winery at an old estate but we didn't have time. I also wanted to tour the Gulch area and go to the Bluebird café but we didn't have time. We did Oktoberfest so that took up a whole day.
As far as bars, of course there is Tootsie's that you need to go to. We also liked Jason Aldean's and Luke Bryan's bars. We liked the Redneck Riviera too but really they are all fun. We ate dinner at Husk and had brunch at Biscuit Love. Neither disappointed.

Thanks for all this. I was thinking four nights. Sounds like a fun time.

If you're not going with kids, do the Pedal Tavern Tour - SOOOO much fun! (bring your own alcohol)
Aside from the places mentioned above, Wild Horse Saloon is fun (they offer line dance lessons some nights), FGL House (Florida Georgia Line) and Blake Shelton's place - Ole Red.
Check out Pinewood Social - great food and a fun old fashioned bowling alley (you can make a reservation to bowl).
Hattie B's Chicken is amazing (usually long lines, but we hit it at an off time - maybe 2:30-3:00 in the afternoon, on a rainy day and hardly waited at all)

Nashville - What not to miss and how long to go
Just got back. I think three nights is enough. The only thing I wanted to do that I missed was the Blue Bird Cafe - and that was because DH wanted to go to the Music Row Happy Hour and I wasn’t sure how long it would take (it wasn’t too exciting, would skip that next time).
We stayed downtown at the AC by Marriott which is very nice and new. They had an awesome pool but the drink/food service stunk. We are BBQ at Martins which was awesome, had breakfast at the Pancake Pantry, also awesome, explored the Gulch, went to Broadway and went to the Grand Ole Opry.
For Broadway - on top of what was listed above, we liked Kid Rocks place as well as Dierks Bentley’s place.
We were going to eat at Husk but the menu for that day wasn’t appealing so we skipped.
