Nassau moms...
Where do you go, or have you gone, to meet other moms and babies? I work during the week so I guess I'm looking for mostly a weekend thing.
I've just been feeling lately that I need to meet some people like me. A lot of my friends are single and I'm just looking for some people I can relate to more. Any suggestions?
I live on the south shore so that is preferable. Thanks!

I am in the same boat as you.. Most of my friends dont have kids. What part of Nassau do you live in?

Right now I live in N. Woodmere. But I grew up in Long Beach so I am always in the Long Beach, Oceanside, Island Park area...

I enrolled Andrew in the Little Gym (which is in Merrick) and I also take him to story time at the local library. A big plus too was we joined the town pool this summer and have spent many days at the kiddie pool, which has been great for meeting mommies.
I am on the north shore, and most of my mommy friends are on the south shore, so I travel a lot!

I do, and Andrew has a ball.... I think he loves it so much more now than he did at 8 months old because he can walk and loves to play on the stuff... The guy who runs the Merrick location is Evan and he is so nice. He'll let you take a class to see how it is. We're in the Wednesday evening class.
