natural c-birth the Bradley way - everyone's naked!
I just got my book last night and I'm a little creeped out by it - all the pictures show the women giving birth naked with their husbands/partners EXTREMELY close to them without any shirts on....Does the Bradley way require/request that the people be naked when you give birth?
Plus the pictures are from the early '80s so they all look like creepy child molesters...I was picturing something more serene and relaxed instead of mustached, topless men in the faces of naked, squatting women. Did anyone else feel this way?
PS - I'm 19 weeks and starting to get emotional and scared - this is my disclaimer!

You can use the Bradley method in a hospital, right? In that case, I doubt they'd be letting your DH strip down. I believe that my cousin was naked for his wife's birth experience, which was in a tub.

You don't HAVE to be naked. Some women feel like they cannot stand to have anything on their body while in labor.
If Bradley makes you uncomfortable try Hypnobirthing.

I agree. Nakedness is not a requirement for giving birth. I had natural birth (not Bradley method though) and I had my own super loose nightshirt because I knew a hospital gown would make me feel claustrophobic. I think Nrthshgrl did Bradley, you may want to ask her.
