Natural Gas vs. Oil
When selling a home, do people prefer natural gas or oil? (if both of them are newly installed)

I believe most people prefer gas, as I believe it's cheaper and "cleaner."
However, like anything else, you have some people who prefer oil.

when DH and I were looking, we preferred gas heated homes (and ended up purchasing one)

We currently have gas.
It's just easier and cleaner.
No chance of running out.
No chance of "accidents" by the oild company.
No shopping around for a better price.
Just a few reasons why we prefer it over oil.

we prefer gas - so if you have acess to gas i would put in a gas system -
we bough a fixer upper house that oil and i ran out twice in 6 months - we did not have a contract - with gas you do not run out
we knew we were within 100 ft of the gas line when we bought which was an important factor in buying our house
talk to your gas company they run specials on gas burners if converting
