Natural Miscarriage
Went in today and there was nothing in my uterus, lost the baby...how long does it take for a natural miscarriage to do its thing..i have been bleeding for days so if they saw nothing i would assume it passed?

Re: Natural Miscarriage
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I had a natural miscarriage in the beginning of febuary, I bled for about 6-7 days and then spotted for another 3 days -- In total there was blood/spotting for 10 days. If your uterus was clear you must have passed it
My dr. said to expect to bleed for about 2 weeks but I knew it would be less because the 2nd day of bleeding I passed 2 large clots, about the size of a quarter. Then it was period like bleeding until it tapered off. Then from the day I stopped bleeding it took 4 weeks exactly until my next period, for some women it takes longer depending on how far along you were when you miscarried and how high your beta was at the time. I was almost 7 weeks but my HCg levels had already started dropping and were in the 200s when the bleeding began.
You're in my prayers

I am so sorry for your loss. I did not have a natural mc, but if you are already bleeding, I would assume everything is passing.

Re: Natural Miscarriage
I bled for about a week. I passed it on a Saturday, and bled for about 4 or 5 days after that.

Re: Natural Miscarriage
I'm sorry for your loss.
If you saw nothing, most likely everything has passed, and you should only have a few days of light spotting.
Sorry!

Re: Natural Miscarriage
First off- I am so so sorry for your loss.
I've had 2 natural miscarriages- and the heavy bleeding lasted for about 4-5 days, and then lightened up.
Here if you need anything!

Re: Natural Miscarriage
Is it normal to have really strange cramping and pressure after passing the baby? I had a tough night last night, a ton of pressure and cramping...

I'm pretty sure that's your uterus going back to normal, it goes away quickly

Re: Natural Miscarriage
I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I wouldn't wish this on anybody
I had a couple natural miscarriages, and with none of them did the bleeding last over a week.

Re: Natural Miscarriage
I'm very sorry
I've had 2 natural m/c's
#1- We never saw anything in my uterus. I bled probably about 11/12 days. It was just like a bad, long period.
#2- The first sono showed the flicker of a heart beat but I was measuring behind. I bled for a really long time. I m/c'ed on Oct 14th (my m/c lasted for about 3/4 days) and then bled to Nov. 10 (it appeared to be ending); then my fist AF started on Nov. 11; it lasted until 3 days before xmas; then I got AF #2 on xmas and it lasted for about 11 days; and now my cycles are completely normal. I seriously would not wish this on anyone. {My Drs monitored me throughout and I was told that this just happens with some women when they m/c naturally. I've read that this happens sometimes too.}
