While I love my new CRV, I think it will be too small for 2 young children.
We will go up a size if we have a #2.

had the murano with one child and now the pathfinder (3 rows)..honestly they are both two tight for two kids, strollers, shopping bags etc..I wish I would have went with the Armada..it was ALOT more roomier and much wider..but the only downfall is the gas milege

Re: ned a new car, need recs for a car thast good for a family
We have the Saturn Vue and I LOVE it! I never thought I'd like it, and then we test drove it and its SO family friendly I couldn't not get it. All 3 seats in the back are pre-equipped for car seats, the trunk has lots of room and a pop up grocery organizer, and I love the security of OnStar.... if my cell phone dies, the OnStar has a built in phone, and if I'm ever in a car accident, lock my keys in the car or think there might be something wrong mechanically it's there to help!

Re: ned a new car, need recs for a car thast good for a family
My brother has the Saturn SUV and loves it. We have the Honda Accord which only has 10000 miles on it so until my mom moves out here and buys it from me, no mini van for me. I want the Nissan Murano.

Re: ned a new car, need recs for a car thast good for a family
I would not get any type of car like the murano or chevy equinox, honda crv. I have 2 children now and I currently have the chevy and I cannot wait to get rid of it. It is a pretty wide car in the back and there is more room them normal compared to some SUV's and it is still not enough room. I have her stroller in the trunk and then an old snap and go and I cannot fit anything else. Whenever I do any kind of shopping I have to put my bags in the back seat of my car. It's a decent car but not for 2 kids. As soon as the lease is up we will be getting a minivan.

Re: ned a new car, need recs for a car thast good for a family
We have a Camry, which holds a double stroller and I still have room in the trunk (I've had a Duoglider in there and now I use a Sit N Stand). There is plenty of room in the backseat for 2 carseats (we have Marathons). But we are looking into a minivan since we have no room if anyone else is coming with us anywhere, which is annoying.

We have a CR-V with two young kids and it's fine for us. If we have a third child we'll have to get a bigger car.

Do you have the new CRV? I think the 2007 ones were made smaller when they changed the look/style than the 2003 and 2006 that we have

Yes, I have the new one. It actually love it and it's very well designed inside with great use of the space. It is very spacious for the size. Nice trunk, etc.. but once we have the stroller, diaper bag, etc... I can see it being outgrown for 2 kids. Especially at a young age with a double stroller and all the gear.

Re: ned a new car, need recs for a car thast good for a family
We are ANTI-Minivan!
I have a Nissan Murano and I absolutely love it, even with 2 kids still!
I have an infant seat and a Britax marathan in the back seat and I can still sit in between them to feed/soothe the little one if i need too. And even with both carseats in, DH and I in the front still have plenty of leg room and there's still lots of room behind our seats.
Trunk space-I have 2 strollers in my trunk=a peg and stroller frame and still have lots of room for groceries, shopping bags.
The murano rides like a car and doesn't guzzle gas like an suv. It gets the same mileage as our old nissan maxima.
I would get one again in a second!

Re: ned a new car, need recs for a car thast good for a family
We have a Hyundai Sonata and I think it could very well fit a double stroller and two car seats.
For the same price as a Rav4 or CRV, I'd recommend an Hyundai Azera. Our friend has one and I rode in the backseat with my DD in her carseat and it could def. fit two carseats very comfortably. We also had a bugaboo, 1 large suitcase, large dog kennel (stacked into itself), 2 carryon size suitcases and some misc items in the trunk. We will probably trade in our Sonata for an Azera when we have another DC.

I think the Cr-V is too small... honestly, we went to Honda all set to buy the Cr-V and when we sat inside the Accord- we found it much more roomy... i know they are having good deals on Pilots- which is what we are going to get when we have #2.

I have a Honda Pilot and I LOVE IT!!! Although I am not a fan of the Pilot (it is waaaay smaller than the trucks I normally drive) My friend has this with her 2 kids and it is plenty of room. Even with the 3rd row in, there is a ton of storage room.
Mechanically this is a great truck as well, and it gets great gas mileage.

I have the Armada with 2 kids and for all the baby gear my trunk is full. Granted I do have a double jogger as my everyday stroller so that lays flat. I also keep the single stroller in the trunk sometimes if I am running into one store (I put the baby in the sling and DS goes in the stroller). I had the Infiniti FX35 which is the same as the Murano and their was no way we could have fit all that stuff in their. I was so sad to see it go because I loved driving it but it was not kid friendly to me.
