Need a bar/club recommendation
I'm going out with my Aunts in NYC this Sat night for my 30th bday and we were looking for a place to go that we could dance and drink and I won't have to sell a kidney to pay the bill. These women are between 45 and 55 but they're totally NUTS so we don't need something reserved but we don't want to hang out with a whole bunch of college kids or the cast of jersey shore.
Anyone know if such a place exists

My friends & I always end up at Session 73 - it's on 73rd & First. There is a bar with a smallish dance floor and live music on one side and a more loungy area with a bar on the other. We are in our early 40s and never feel like old ladies there  The bands are usually pretty good and they make a pretty good apple martini.

I always have fun at the Alphabet Lounge down in Alphabet City. It's on Avenue C b/t E6th & 7th.
Prices - eh, it's not cheap, but I've never been anywhere that is in the city.

O'Flanagan's on 1st & 65th usually have live music and dancing and is an older crowd.

For my bachelorette party, one of the places we stopped at was at Cafe Wha? in the village on MacDougal Street (http://www.cafewha.com/).
Its was such a fun place and a mix of a young and an older crowd. You can sit, eat, drink, then theres a stand up comedian and a band plays. LOTS of fun but Im not sure at the price since I didnt have to pay
