Need a dessert

Trying to think of a new dessert for thanksgiving.
I am making either a chocolate cake with buttercream or a chocolate cream pie, so chocolate is covered.
We will also have an apple pie.
Looking for something else to make - probably some sort of cake, but no cheesecake and nothing pumpkin.
Any ideas?
I have seen some recipes for some of those gooey butter cakes, but have never tried one. Anyone have experience with those?
Thanks!

Re: Need a dessert

I make this for the holidays. Everyone loves it and says it tastes like Pistachio Ice cream, so I call it Pistachio Ice Cream Cake.

5 tablespoons corn starch
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup water
2 Tablespoons Almond Extract
7-10 Drops green food coloring
4 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
3/4 cup chopped pistachios, or walnuts, optional

1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a bundt pan.

2 Sift together the cornstarch, flour, baking powder and salt.

3 Add the oil, milk, water, food coloring and almond extract. Beat until it forms a very smooth batter.

4 In a separate bowl beat the egg whites until frothy, add the cream of tartar and beat until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the sugar and beat until very well blended.

5 Fold the egg whites into the batter. Gently fold in nuts. Pour batter into the prepared pans.

6 Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 to 40 minutes.

7 Ice with icing sugar mixed with heavy cream and some almond extract.
