Need a Mother's Helper/Part Time (per diem) Babysitter
So I posted last week about being at my wits end with some things ( Link to my previous post ).
Well, I have talked with DH and SIL and now I need to find a Mother’s Helper/ Part Time (per diem) babysitter. Where does one find such a person? We have a girl we use for babysitting- and I am going to see if she is available, but it while it would be on a consistent basis, it would be steady. I’d like someone about 2-3 days a week when DH is working, mostly evenings during the week and occasional weekends. Ideally I don’t want to spend TOO much money, but want someone reliable. Mostly to watch Troy (including giving dinner and putting to bed) while I run errands, clean, do laundry, and goto doctor appointments. Occasional pick up from daycare too.
Also- what’s a reasonable rate??
An example for need next week would be: Mon 7/19 Need from 6-8:30pm (2 ½ hours) Tue 7/20 No need Wed 7/21 Need pick up from daycare (5:30pm) to approx 8:30pm (3 hours) Thur 7/22 No need Fri 7/23 Need from 6-8:30pm (2 ½ hours) Sat 7/24 No need
TIA
ETA: We live in Riverhead. I've thought of asking one of the girls from his daycare, but not sure how to ask!

I would post on CL or go to a local college and see if they can help or have a list of students in early childhood looking for work

I would say at least $15/hr. It might be hard though finding someone to cover nights and weekends. Good luck!!!
EDIT - Try posting on DayCareMatch.com or Care.com or even Craigs List. I do in-home day care and I got the two little boys I watch through Care.com
