Need a new computer - Should I go with MAC or PC?
I've always had PC's. I use them at work, home but "it's time for change" LOL!
I really want to get a MAC but am wondering if it is similar at all to a PC, or user friendly, etc.
For those who have MACS can you tell me why you love them and why I should go with them?
I'm not going to use it for anything special (yet) but if I can learn, I will.

Don't get a PC, get a mac...very user friendly and you can do everything that you want on a PC on the mac, using one of the programs available for loading windows.
Everything is easier, the interface is nicer and it just works....you don't have to worry about viruses and the UI is very intuitive.

I totally despise macs  That entire company is founded upon marketing scams!

DH and I just bought a Mac this morning. They are supposed to be free from viruses, run faster and smoother and have some pretty cool applications. We got it more for DH's work, so I still don't know much about them. But everyone we know who has a Mac loves it.

I love my mac and would absolutely recommend getting one. Totally easy to use, no viruses. Customer service is great. my laptop is soooo easy to use.

really it's only windows stuff that gets viruses..you can get a PC and run linux - error free and keep your right click 
Apple's OSX is acceptable, but you can't change hardware easily if at all on apples, but on a PC laptop you really won't do much of that anyway

MACs get limited amount of viruses because mainstream people use and target the PC. A Mac can get bad apps installed and pops up just like a pc.
As far as faster and smoother, it really depends on your processor, memory, settings, etc... Applications are harder because there is limited support for 3rd party programs. Some programs that are only Mac are cool. Most are offered on both system. If you are just a typical user, pictures, email, music download..it really doesn't matter what you have as both will serve the same purpose.

I agree. I can't stand their marketing. I won't even buy an Ipod.

I will never go back to a PC. I looooove my mac! It has never crashed, frozen or gotten a virus. This is my second mac and it has surpassed my expectations.
