Need a new nail place in Rockville Centre, Lynbrook, ERockaway, Oceanside..etc
Or surrounding areas.....The place I was going to around here has really been annoying me lately. I insisted that my wraps be taken off the last time and what does the woman do "leave them on and make them stronger"
I am mad at myself that I wasn't more forcefull! The wraps look like crap anyway and I just want them off!
Can you suggest a good place where the ladies speak Engllish. TIA

Re: Need a new nail place in Rockville Centre, Lynbrook, ERockaway, Oceanside..etc
I don't get fake nails so I can't speak to that but I've been going to a place on Grand Ave in Baldwin for some time now and I'm very happy with them. They are asian so they don't speak English to each other but the owner speaks English to customers if that's what you need. It's called Sensation Nails. It's only a few blocks north of the train station and Sunrise Hwy. In RVC I have used the place on Long Beach Rd. can't remember the name) near Seaman Ave and Lakeview. They're are actually two of them, owned by same people right accross the street from each other. The one on the same side of the street as the subway and Curves did a nice enough job. however, my Aunt goes to the one on the other side of the street by Carvel and I DID NOT like the job they did at all. The polish on my pedicure and manicure was sloppy and didn't last and it was lightening fast which if you're in a hurry is a good thing but I felt like my place in Baldwin gives me more time and massage and stuff which is my mind is more for my money. HTH!

I always went to Village Nails on Merrick Road in RVC (a few doors down from Madison Hall). They usually take a bit longer than the usual nail salon, but it's because they are so meticulous.

My mom and sister go to Citi Nail on Atlantic Avenue in East Rockaway. It's on the same side of the street as the ER library.....
When I lived in RVC, I used to go to the nail place on North Park Avenue, a few doors south of the RVC Fantasy Movie Theatre.

I completely agree about the nail salons across the street from each other. I went to the one by Carvel once b/c the other one was closed and it was terrible. The other isn't bad.
One of my friends goes to the one on Sunrise Highway near the movie theatre and Golden Reef diner. I think they do a good job.
