need a pediatric orthopedist?
can anyone recommend their orthopedist?
when DS was born, I noticed that his second toe on his left foot looked shorter than his other toes and he doesnt move it the same as he does his second toe on his right foot. at his two week appointment yesterday, his Ped. said he believes the bones in the toe are fused and we should see a pediatric ortho
has anyone experienced this? any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

My ped reccommended Dr Lewis or Dr Gaffney. They have offices in Mineola and East Meadow.

We took DS to see one in Stonybrook and I can't remember his name, but he was really nice.

David Godfried in Westbury. He was formerly at Schneiders but now has a private practice. Also if you want to go the Schneiders' route - Javier Laplaza. DD was born with club foot on one foot and both are excellent dr's

I second Dr. Godfiried. He agreed to take my case (as a 28 year old) and remove a benign tumor in my leg. Regular orthopedists would not do it and he took it no questions asked. His bedside manner is wonderful too. He sat with you as long as you had questions and explained everything in great detail. I would bring my children to him in a heartbeat.
I was with him when he was at Schneiders so I am unsure how long the wait is now, but it was long at Schneiders.
Good luck!!!

DD went here for her arm.
Dr Carion is supposed to be one of the best in this field.
