Need a RE w/holistic approach

Chat Icon 38 TTC my 1st. Did 2 cycles of Clomid and a failed IUI. Went to RSoNY-Stony Brook. Nice staff but I felt treatment was "cookie cutter." Just wondering if you know of a RE that uses herbs/alternative medicine in conjunction with traditional meds/procedures. ***Baby dust to you all***

I don't know any like you're talking about but was thinking what if you combine two doctors. My friend see a holistic doctor for all her medical needs and her kids medical needs. She asked him about me and infertility and he said he could treat me. I haven't tried it yet cause I'm not totally convinced and obviously it's not covered under insurance so I wasn't ready to start that process. I hear he can be rough around the edges but she swears by him. Then maybe with the holistic "remedies" they call it, you can try another iui? If you want his name let me know.

Thanks for replying and yes please send his info. Totally feel you on not being convinced. I'm still debating as well.

Have you considered speaking with an acupuncturist? They might be able to help you get pregnant without needing an RE. Their approach is pretty much strictly herbs, supplements, and holistic medicine.
Just as an FYI I know a few people who didn't get pregnant with an RE and got pregnant after using acupuncture. You would need to find a good one who specializes in fertility. I have always had irregular long cycles and my first full cycle after starting acupuncture was 29 days.

If you post this on the infertility page you might get some more hits. I would recommend going to an acupuncturist who specializes in fertility if you want a more holistic approach.
