Need a read aloud recommendation for Kindergarteners for my dd's birthday...
There are no more cupcakes allowed! BOOOOO...whatever, but a parent can come in and read a story and do an arts and craft project with the class....
I so need ideas! It is this Thursday!

What about reading a FUN fall book and then re-creating it by having all the children make their own page from the story(get some materials from Michaels) and then after your visit you can take it to Staples and get the pages laminated and binded. Then she can bring the completed book in to read with her friends and then of course it'll be her birthday memory forever.
PS. I'm a Kindergarten Teacher
ETA: There's a GREAT book for Halloween time called Go Away Big Green Monster, by Ed Emberely. This also would be a very fun book to read and they even sell the hand puppet for the kids to come up and take turns retelling the story. Just another idea

I love to read CAPS FOR SALE to my kids. They cant yell, "caps for sale, 50cents a cap!" every time... or "you monkey... give me back my cap" LOL Theyd love that. Maybe you can make little monkeys or caps?

I teach K.
Read a fall or Halloween themed book and do a craft.
I have a few simple fall and Halloween crafts you can do with the kids.
I can e-mail you the templates. FM me you re-mail and I will send you them.
You might have to pre cut them.
