Need a rec for new dr. who delivers at Stony Brook or St Charles
Hello, I have a 14 mo DD and am currently TTC for #2. I know this is early but I want to get ideas for a new DR. I delivered at St. Charles with my DD and I loved it but I did not have a good birth experience with my DR. So I am looking for a good DR who would deliver at St. Charles or Stony Brook. I live in Centereach. TIA!!

I go to Dr. Johnson at Stony Brook Associates in Ob/Gyn (on Tech Drive). They only deliver at SB.

Stonybrook Associates and Stonybrook midwifes both in the technologyl park on research way in setauket are awesome.

Thank you...I loved st. charles but I have heard good things bout stony brook. I am still unsure if I should make that switch.

Dr. Ninia! He's in Port Jeff. He's head of some department (I forget which one) at St. Charles and I absolutely love him! His staff is great too! 631-331-0500

I see Dr. Thomas Erhart, his associate is Dr. Sylvia Tufano. They deliver at SB and St Charles.
I highly recommend their office - good hours, flexible schedule and the staff is very sweet!

I delivered my 1st DD with Dr. Ninia. His office is in Port Jeff and he delivers only at St. Charles (I believe he is the head of Obstretics there).
I delivered my 2nd DD with Dr. Gus San Roman. He wasn't my primary but my primary didn't have privileges at St. Charles (he was semi retired) and so Dr. San Roman did my surgery and his office did my post op follow ups. Everyone from there was great.

I agree. I also like stony brook obgyn -dr porte ended up delivering me and he was great!

The promblem is that they were my Dr.'s but I had a horrible birth exp with them SO my DH def does not want me going back to them with DC #2

Same here! Dr. San Roman and now Dr. Michelle Mayer (she's a nurse midwife but she does have her doctorate degree) delivered both of my sons via c-section and I cannot say enough positive things about my experiences there.  I delievered at St. Charles.

YES YES YES!!! LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!! Michelle delivered DS on 6/18 at St. Charles. Such a positive experience.

I am one of their BIGGEST fans! I cannot say enough wonderful things about both docs! LOVE LOVE LOVE them and their whole office. Don't think they deliver at SB though, def St. Charles.
And as far as Suffolk OB, I know many people have great experiences there, but mine was TERRIBLE and almost deadly for my DS and myself. They are a very large practice with differing views and I feel like some things fall through the cracks. JMO
