I always hear bad stuff about Atlantic, but I had a very pleasant experience there. (both sales and service). I recently traded my Accord in for a truck & I stuck with Atlantic (Chevy).

Re: Need a recc for a honda dealer

I got mine at Atlantic Honda. I had to wait a really long time to actually sign the papers/get my car...but they were the only dealership willing to negotiate money off invoice.

We bought 2 Civics (different times) through Babylon Honda. Both times were good experiences but in all honesty the first time we purchases was with an older gentleman who was really great to work with .... he retired by the time we went back to buy the other car and we got a much younger guy. Nice guy just different service and manner.

But no matter what that's where we go...DH had searched all the dealers on BBB and it was the only "clean" one he found.

Atlantic in Bay Shore? They quoted me a much lower price (this was 2 weeks ago), but it turned out there were all hidden fees that made their quote in actuality much higher than other ones.

Re: Need a recc for a honda dealer

if you have AAA...i would recommend using their Auto Ease service....its great once you know what car you want....the people at AAA then go through their dealers to give you their best deal....I used them to lease my 2008 honda accord and it was great....definitely worth not having to dear with car salesmen!

Try Babylon Honda - they were great when we got our 2nd CRV. Stay FAR FAR FAR away from Millenium honda - I know a number of people who have had issues with them - they really tried to take my grandmother - luckily by dad is an attorney and checked the paperwork very closely - they had to REDO the paperwork 6 times with them b.c they kept trying to add in things that were BS or already negotiated to not be in it. We have had several issues with their service dept too.

Yup. We bought our Ridgeline there. Our friends just recently bought their 2 Honda's there. And another friend bought one there. They are always so nice and give us great deals.

Babylon Honda - we bought 3 cars from them plus MIL and BIL just got cars from there.

Our salesman Phil was fantastic.

I use to work for the Atlantic/Millennium branch of dealerships. STAY FAR AWAY!!!

Re: Need a recc for a honda dealer

we bought our 05 accord from huntington (brand new) and I hated the experience i fould the sales people to be very rude and not trust worthy, and my car had to be repaired 2x before getting to take it home, they always acted like they didn't see the damageChat Icon and there service dept isn't any better, went in for an oil change came out with an inspection 2.5 hours later, and no oil changeChat Icon

We just leased 2 new hondas (accord, and S2000) from Nardy, and we had the best experience. they wer so helpful and they gave us so information on each of our cars, walked us thorugh every single feature (we had bruce) it took almost 2 hrs for each car that he wasn't on the sales floor selling cars, i thought that was very important. Huntington honda didn't even show me a single thing!!

I highly reccomend Nardy!!

pretty much this happend with my husband there. he signed for the car on sat and he went in there today and they had to "change" some things my husband got a refund and walked out. we leased our accord fromt there two years ago and they were fine. this time my husband told them he is going elsewhere to buy the car. its not worth the hassle they were putting him through.

thanks for all your responces!!!!

DH just got his CRV from Babylon and Phil was his salesman, too. So nice!

My dad also got his Accord from Babylon ten years ago.

Re: Need a recc for a honda dealer

I had a great experience with Atlantic Honda a couple of months ago. Even though some people here say that it's horrible there.

As you can see from this thread.... every dealership (over every make, not just Honda) has it's bad dealings. It's the nature of the business. Even if a place has a 'good reputation', proceed at your own risk.
