Not sure where you went for a 1st opinion, but Daniel Mayer (in Smithtown) is very well know in the 'allergist' community.

I went to someone affiliated with LIJ and I like him a lot - I just need to step it up a little bit for a 2nd opinion.
I'm thinking NYU or NYP/Columbia, or Mt Sinair, etc. NYC.

The problem I'm finding is that most specialize in the allergy part, but I need focus on the IMMUNOLOGY part.
