Need advice about LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer

I just bought it for my 5 year old and she loves it! Her 2.5 year old sister is driving her crazy though....she wants to play it (of course). Do I bite the bullet and buy another LeapPad? They could share games. Do you think 2.5 is too young for the LeapPad? She is smart and I think advanced for her age. I think she is on par with 3 year olds.

My son is 2.5 also and he plays with our IPad all the time, navigating his way by himself and playing games appropriately. We are getting him the LeapPad for xmas. So I don't think she is too young. I would her her one too.

DS will be 2 this week and i was thinking of getting this for xmas but holding it until he's a little older.

he loves the Leapfrog Leaptop..maybe try that first for the younger one. DS learned the whole alphabet from that thing.

Re: Need advice about LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer

we are having the same "problem"

DD has one and DS plays it all the time. We just have the Leapster Explorer (not the pad) but we will be giving DS one for Christmas now too

My DD just turned 3 and got the LeapPad for her bday and she LOOOOOOOOOVES it!! She very easily navigates through the games, plays in the art studio, takes pics and videos, and more. My DD has always been tech savvy though.........she mastered my Droid phone when she was just over 2 and has been playing games on the laptop for months!! lol I would get it, even if she doesn't play everything 100% correctly she will at some point and it's a toy that can grow with her.
