Need Advice ASAP!
I hired a lawyer and have spoke to her maybe three times. I have been going back and forth because we want somethings done before the contracts are signed.
Anyway.........yesterday she emails me and says, "remember to bring the hard copy to the closing (if we ever get that far..ha ha).
I am so ****** at that comment. How would you handle it? Can I get rid of her or would I be responsible to pay for her services. I think that was so unprofessional.
Thanks

i don't understand what you're upset about. I think more info is needed...
ETA: wait was that "(if we ever get that far, ha ha)" part of her email too?

ditto. Is it because she doesn't get back to you right away?

Re: Need Advice ASAP!
did she make that "haha" comment? If so then I think that was unprofessional. But I don't know how it works, if you have already signed contracts with her then she is representing you...

Re: Need Advice ASAP!
Sorry I should have made it more clear, we were writing about a paper that she wanted me to bring to closing and she wrote (if we ever get that far, ha ha). That is the part that I am mad about. We have not sugned the contracts yet.

I would fine a new attorney. That would p*ss me off! It sounds like she is not taking this sale seriously.

If you haven't signed, then find another attorney. It was unprofessional to write that, you are not friends. Just find one ASAP so you can get moving with your contract signing - you don't want the sellers to stop taking you seriously.

When we first met with our lawyer to go over contracts, he outlined his fees/services and said that at any time we want to discontinue his services, we would only be responsible for paying him for the hours he had put in, not the full sum.
Honestly, you're paying her, so if she didn something that is unprofessional and disrespectful, take your business elsewhere AND/OR confront her about it.

agreed. albeit there are ALOT of deals that fall through, but she should be wanting you to get to the closing table and not making jokes that it may never happen. alot of attorneys just want to get paid, they dont care if the deal falls through or not.
