Need Advice CIO Moms
Lately DS has been waking between 4:30 and 5. I give him a bottle and then he will play for 30 minutes and go back to sleep for another hour.
If he is consistently going back to sleep after only being awake for 30 minutes, should I just let him CIO and see if he will fall back to sleep until 6:30/7?

Re: Need Advice CIO Moms
Funny you should post this - I am having a very similar problem. I have tried for the past couple of days to just have him cry it out. well he cries for about an HOUR!!!! I am losing my mind. I NEED him to sleep until at least six. I am interested to see what others do in this situation.

Re: Need Advice CIO Moms
The last week, DS has been waking up around 5 every day. He cries for a minute or two, but it's never a strong "come get me now" cry, so I've been leaving him alone. He stops pretty quickly, plays with his toys a little, and goes back to sleep.
I just have the feeling if I go get him he'll be up for awhile. I'm not sure how long your DC cries, but if it's pretty short, I'd let DC cry a little. I hate CIO and find it hard to do with naps and such, but I feel as if he really needs more sleep at this time, plus I need more sleep, so ultimately we are both much happier people.

DS does something very similar, he is almost 8 months. He wakes some morning around 6ish...and whines a bit..sometimes a very little cry. If I give him a few minutes ( 10-15) he will usually fall back asleep, and he needs it. He usually sleeps from 7-7. If I take him out of his crib when he first wakes at 6ish he is too tired.

Re: Need Advice CIO Moms
I did CIO with my son. He is now 14 months. Many ppl disagree with me, but I feel bad making him CIO any time after 4. So, if he wakes up any morning and it's at least 4 ...i just give a bottle. I guess i just feel bad making him cry bc i feel like he slept a lot of hours, maybe he is thirsty..or just wants his bottle. He never made a habit of it though, so when it happens, that's what I do. ETA: After his bottle, he always falls asleep for at least 1 & 1/2 -2 hrs
