but i just wanted to say russo's is effing AWESOME and you'll have the BEST food ever -- DON'T EAT ANYTHING BEFORE -- because omg the food - and the service! it was AWESOME.
thanks! her bridal shower was also at Russo's, so I got to preview the food- awesome!!! and it was the first shower I went to that had an EMCEE!! it was quite a surprise, but hey the guy w/ the mic came in handy when it was time to do shower games!  but you can tell how well coordinated everything is there! I can't wait to see what they do for a reception!!!!

i don't think that she only gave $200 b/c her fiance didn't come - she had to have known that you already paid for his "spot" right? so if she was giving a gift based on that, it shouldn't have mattered. it seems like she gave you what she felt was appropriate/could afford.
thank you!! I didn't even think of this!! $200 could just be their standard amount......I automatically assumed she gave less b/c her FH didn't go.

How long ago was your wedding? If your wedding was many years ago then i would maybe give a bit more than what she gave you due to prices of everythign going up... but if your wedding was recently then i would give her the same amt. she gave you.

Then i say give the same she gave you! Its very generous and more than exceptable.

I think she was going to give 200 even if her DH came or not (to be honest I think i would have given extra if i rsvp'd yes for my DH and he didn't come just b/c i know they are paying for a plate that no one ate)
I say 200 is more then enough, but if you feel the need to give extra b/c of a guest i wouldn't give more the 250
